**Job Description** The Novel Expression Systems (NES) team is seeking a Scientist with experience in strain engineering and molecular biology. Our team is part of the Continuous & Expression Technologies group within the Process Research & Development Enabling Technologies organization. We are tasked with introducing and advancing expression systems across a range of organisms that will be applied to discovery and development of novel biologics and vaccines, as well as to our engineered enzymes. Our all-modality team works closely with scientists across our company to advance science and technologies with the goal of improving human health. As a member of the Strain Engineering team in Novel Expression System group, the applicant will serve as an individual scientific contributor as part of a team responsible for strain construction and optimization of various expression systems for enzymes, vaccines, and other bioproducts. The candidate is also expected to carry out collaborative research supporting the implementation of these methodologies which involves conceiving, designing, and executing molecular biology experiments.
