Key responsibilities for this role include:

Perform and execute all duties of an Associate Scientist

Testing of chemical components or products as assigned on a daily testing schedule. Involves the use and maintenance of major laboratory instruments and equipment: HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV/VIS, Dissolution, Diffusion as well as utilizing wet chemical skills.

Identify, evaluate, and troubleshoot issues with instrumentation and methods.

Provide training on methods and use and maintenance of instrumentation to other laboratory personnel.

Perform testing of method transfers into the Quality laboratory.

Within area of responsibility, understand and comply with all DPT safety, environmental and quality practices and procedures as outlined in organizational/departmental guidelines and SOPs as well as applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in Life Science from a four-year college or university is required.

Chemistry is preferred. 

Minimum 3-5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years of related experience with a master’s degree.

Laboratory experience, pharmaceutical industry experience is required.
