Scientist - CB3 - NM Job Description
Objective:
Working as coating’s raw material technology scientist in Technology team, to develop and maintain cost effective, high quality RM for our customers which can be qualified efficiently by understanding customer specifications and test methods, working with GBT and PT to transfer products smoothly into production and following our quality procedures to ensure continuous improvement.
Core Responsibilities:
Work Jointly with Sourcing, RM Team Manager & GBT Team Manager to identify RMs for which Alternates are required.Follow Global RM project initial process, timely update the project status to Mps.Follow global supplier communication principle, for each supplier meeting has to ask Mps approval and after supplier meeting should be sharing minutes to Mps. Attend meetings with Team Manager, Sourcing & Vendors and maintain MOM for the same.Prepare Protocol for RM Evaluation. This includes developing qualification protocols, analysis, design and development of products, product improvements and modifications to improve coating performance and/or reduce cost while improving efficiency during manufacturing and application.Panel preparation & testing as per product specification and summary full qualification test report.Demonstrates ownership mindset and removes obstacles to deliver on commitments.Authority and decision making limited to decisions of low impact.Communicate with GBT team to ensure that all project team members are fully up-to-date with technical progress on projects.Support the RM MOC procedure is to be followed to ensure good communication with planning, sourcing, QC and other relevant departments.Co-ordinate with RM Suppliers for required documents viz. COA, TDS, MSDS, Regulatory Information.For SD project has to guidance supplier improvement RM performance to meet AXALTA spec.Manage RM test specifications and test methods up to date, develop new specifications and methods as required. Aim to minimize the amount of testing needed to meet our customers’ requirements.Ensure all project documentation is completed properly and in full and available for any internal or external quality audits.Understand RM specific hazards on safety, health, environment related to the process. When introduce RM, working with PS&R review RM regulation, ensure all RMs meet AXALTA specification.Safety practices related to work tasks.Educational Qualification & Experience
Minimum 2-3 years RM Evaluation or coating development experienceKnowledge & Skills (functional competences and capabilities):B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry / Paint Technology, Diploma / Degree, Post graduate in paint technologyProject management and problem-solving skillGood verbal and written communication skill.Competencies Required: Proficient in Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.) Preferably in SAP S4 HANA.Should know Hindi, English.Ability to present according to the audience.Strong Interpersonal skills, Networking ability and Team player Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Our Company:
