The Aftersales Parts Supply Team is responsible for a variety of inventory control activities which support Nissan and Infiniti dealerships and Export customers with service parts availability. Specific activities include planning, project management and placing service part orders to Nissan approved global suppliers along with expediting and follow-up of service part orders into Nissan’s distribution network. This role specifically works directly with global suppliers and collaborates cross-functionally with supply chain functions such as Inventory Management, PDC operations, logistics, packaging, dealer support along with APO, technical teams such as PPE and Engineering, TCS, and other functions supporting customers.
Job Responsibilities.
Work with suppliers daily to ensure open orders are shipping on-time and suppliers are meeting performance expectations. This may include escalation calls/visits with suppliers to address performance concerns.
Review back-order reports to prioritize suppliers' shipment schedules and address critical customer orders; expedite material where necessary to support dealer and customer needs.
Provide weekly open order reports to suppliers to ensure order reconciliation between Nissan and the supplier
Review demand trends and make necessary adjustments to ensure part availability throughout network
Perform necessary balancing activities for parts within the PDC network.
Collaborate with various departments to help resolve commercial, engineering, logistics, and other issues pertaining to part availability
Daily interface with domestic and foreign suppliers to resolve any question about NNA orders or problems with delivery from supplier
React to immediate quality concerns by coordinating meetings with quality assurance, logistics, and material handling to plan emergency recovery action
Responsible for the balance out of old model material and ensure minimal obsolescence
Responsible for the order of new model launch level material for start-up of production
Provide direction to small staff to ensure an even flow of workload among the team
Responsible to onboard and train new team members
Handle more difficult suppliers to ensure proper support is provided to the team
Maintain and implement SOPs
Support leadership with analysis and reporting as necessary
Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
Experience:
Related professional experience in supply chain functions, manufacturing or supplier relations.
Experience using PTC or other dynamic inventory control systems
Background in master scheduling, engineering change control, statistical analysis, inventory control systems, obsolescence control and familiarity with purchasing systems
Job Knowledge and Skills:
Comprehend and evaluate problems with ability to basic problem solving.
General understanding of Nissan policies and procedures
Manage group of suppliers and perform inventory control responsibilities related to the ordering and follow-up of service part.
Computer skills: Microsoft Access and Excel
Language: Advanced English (direct contact with USA)
Travel Required:
Ability to travel locally and internationally up to 20%
