Procurement Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development. The work model for the role is #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Motion business for System Drives division in Nelamangala -Bangalore.You will be mainly accountable for:Design to cost approach for New Product Development Supplier Identification and partnering for optimized costTotal Cost of Ownership, Cost breakdown and Cost ControlSupplier Qualification

Qualifications for the role

Education- BE / Diploma in Electrical or ECE5-10 years of related work experience (preferably in Wind / Industrial Cabinets and Control Systems / drive panels)Complete life cycle of vendor managementKnowledge on Transformers and E-House/Containers will be considered as advantageSound knowledge of Supplier Base, preferably in Wind Converter and Cabinet supply Chain experienceExperience in new product development work related SCM activitiesExperience with supplier identification, assessment, and development processes with knowledge of PPAP, APQP is advisableExperience in Supplier sustainability programs preferredExpertise in commercial aspects of contract management including taxations
