Here at CMC, our post-consumer scrap metal recycling operations are the backbone of CMC. In this role, you will utilize your customer service skills to maintain existing customer relationships, and source new customer relationships to ensure a steady flow of scrap metal to our recycling yards.

What You'll Do Develops the growth of business activities and profit with assigned accounts and in assigned territories Purchases scrap metal materials in accordance with current market conditions based on pricing standards/models established by Company policy Owns internal and external customer service relating to ferrous or non-ferrous business Visits customers on a regular basis and maintain systemic data to record account history Maintains accurate records of all buying/sourcing and prospecting activities including closed sales and follow-up activities Responsible for purchases of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal from customer accounts Investigate potential new generators of scrap metal. Buys from dealers, light industrial customers, repair shops, demolition projects, clean-ups, etc What You'll Need Contract negotiation experience required Strong interpersonal skills required Sense of teamwork as well as independent initiative required Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint Excellent written and verbal communication skills required Three to five years of Ferrous/Non-Ferrous buying experience preferred Your Education High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree preferred
