**Job Title: Screw Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking skilled Screw Machine Operators to join our team. You will be responsible for operating ACME and Davenport manual screw machines to produce precision parts. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to perform routine maintenance on machinery. **Responsibilities** + Setup and operate automatic screw machinery to produce parts according to specifications. + Install and adjust cams, gears, and stops on the screw machine and verify the positioning of cutting tools using gauges and other instruments. + Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure accurate production. + Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance. + Stock and load machinery, maintaining proper oil levels, cutting fluids, or lube, and keeping machinery free of chip buildup. + Monitor the production process to identify and resolve any issues or defects. + Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. + Conduct in-process, first piece, and final inspections. **Essential Skills** + Experience working in a manufacturing environment in any role. + Mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery. + Experience with quality testing using manual instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience working with screw machines, especially ACME and Davenport brands. + Experience with preventative maintenance. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Experience with a Roller Header machine. **Why Work Here?** We invest time and effort into training our employees, offering opportunities for growth and advancement. The plant is dirty, oily, and has a distinct odor. It is hot in the summer, but there is heat in the winter. The machinery can be dangerous, so proper safety protocols must be followed. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Farmington Hills, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
