Scrum Master – Institutional Wealth Management Services
Job Description:

The Role

As a Scrum Master we blend deep Scrum expertise with a passion for mentoring, leading, and continual improvement. As part of highly collaborative squads we advise, mentor, and teach agile values, practices, and processes to accelerate squad value delivery. In partnership with the squad leader, we will maintain a product backlog, remove impediments, and actively facilitate agile events including the daily scrum, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint review, and retrospectives. We have responsibility to lead release management coordination, scaling events, and planning activities as we manage interdependencies across squads and product areas. We will examine and drive team performance through performance metrics. We will find opportunities for the squad(s) to fully realize the benefits of working in an agile operating model.

This opportunity is for a Senior Scrum Master to join an established squad(s) within IWMS Service Platforms and Solutions domain.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience preferred.

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) with a minimum of 4 years of Scrum Master experience operating as a leader who serves team(s) and can actively scale across partnering teams in a scrum framework.

An intellectual curiosity, passion for developing skills, modeling a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching.

Proficient in managing dependencies and releases across squads.

Proven change agent capable of coaching agile practices to teams and individuals across distinct functions, experiences, and geographies (time zones) as they work through new and unfamiliar situations.

Demonstrate a continuous improvement approach to delivery.

Strong understanding of and experience with Agile practices, processes, and artifacts. 

Experience and familiarity using tools including Jira, Jira Align, Miro, Microsoft Virtual Board, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams.

Lead the impediment resolution process.

Partner with Squad Leads and team members to identify and manage dependencies.

Excellent communication and people skills; can build trust, positively influence others at all levels of the organization, and drive teams towards realizing outcomes.

An effective, proven facilitator across all Scrum related events; able to brainstorm with the team to generate solutions that address challenges and resolve roadblocks to accelerating value delivery.

The Team

On eSignature – Digital Enablement & Automation, we are responsible for the API interfaces that provide a single gateway and supports all Fidelity Docusign activity.

The ideal candidate for this product area and its squad(s) will operate as a thoughtful leader who is innovative, customer obsessed and a strong collaborator.

Our Scrum Masters engage with all team members, including the Squad Leader, to reinforce an agile approach and principles into the daily work. By demonstrating and promoting Fidelity and agile leadership behaviors, we evolve and sustain an innovative agile culture.
