The ideal candidate will be a servant-leader who facilitates the Scrum process, removes impediments, and fosters a high-performing team environment. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective implementation of Scrum practices and principles within the complex landscape of military healthcare IT projects.   Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to: The Scrum Master will be responsible for guiding the development team in their use of Scrum methodology and ensuring the team adheres to agile values and principles. Key responsibilities include: Facilitate Scrum events including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Coach the development team on self-organization and cross-functionality. Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by themselves. Help the Product Owner effectively manage the product backlog. Ensure transparency in the Scrum process and facilitate effective communication within the team and with stakeholders. Protect the team from external interruptions and distractions. Foster an environment of continuous improvement through regular retrospectives and action item follow-ups. Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of Scrum in the organization. Guide the team and organization on how to use Scrum effectively and empirically. Support the team in adopting engineering practices and tools that enhance agility. Help align the Scrum Team with enterprise and program-level objectives. Facilitate stakeholder collaboration as needed.
