Description We are providing a long term contract employment opportunity for a Scrum Master in the banking industry, located in Chicago, Illinois. As a Scrum Master, you will be facilitating agile methodology and scrum practices, managing IT projects, and promoting a collaborative team environment. This role will be hybrid in Chicago, IL. Responsibilities: • Advocate for a collaborative team environment that encourages creativity and innovation. • Serve as Scrum Master for multiple scrum teams, thus enhancing their capacity to efficiently deliver intricate IT projects. • Engage with stakeholders for project buy-in and participate in the negotiation of the project scope and timelines. • Implement and promote agile project management practices, including tracking progress, planning releases, and managing team performance. • Facilitate a variety of meetings, including sprint planning, daily scrums, retrospectives, stakeholder meetings, and software demonstrations. • Support product owners in managing the product backlog, guiding the team, and facilitating a healthy intra-team dynamic concerning priorities and scope. • Identify and eliminate any obstacles to the scrum team's progress while promoting continuous improvement. • Ensure the team's execution and delivery to committed sprint work, maintaining the momentum of the initiative and upholding a sustainable pace of delivery. • Prepare and present reports on the progress and success of projects, ensuring visibility for stakeholders and senior management. • Coach and mentor team members in agile frameworks and practices. Requirements • Strong proficiency in Agile Development is a core requirement for this role. • Candidate must have extensive experience with Atlassian Jira. • Proficiency in Bug Tracking is essential. • Solid understanding and experience in Cloud Technologies is required. • Experience in AB Testing is a must. • Deep knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies is required. • Ability to implement and adhere to Best Practices is essential. • Must have experience with Burndown charts in Agile Scrum environment. • Excellent Collaboration skills are necessary to work effectively within and across teams.
