In Waters, the Informatics group produce software that is used by people worldwide for specialist measurement and scientific analysis. We are currently seeking an experienced Scrum Master who will be responsible for supporting multiple teams in the successful delivery of technology projects & product development according to their agreed working practices. They will lead the delivery efforts and report the status of delivery progress using a standard set of metrics, facilitate the team’s events and support their continuous improvement and learning activities

Responsibilities Facilitation of all teams events, e.g. daily stand ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews and retrospectives, utilizing a servant leadership styleConduct data-driven reporting to show teams progress and maturity to provide transparency to the team and senior managementSupport the teams in identifying and overcoming impediments to their objectiveServe the teams as an accountability partner in maintaining their agreed working practicesBuilding a trusting and vibrant environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame or judgment, placing emphasis on conflict resolution, problem solving, and continuous improvementFacilitating delivery via collaboration, discussion, and decision making, rather than assigning or dictating workAssessing the maturity of the team and coaching the team to higher levels of agility, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organizationConnect with the agile community to share latest trends and techniques 

 

 

Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelors DegreeMust have a strong understanding of the software development life cycle and have a proven track record as the Scrum Master for multiple teams, delivering complex technical projects with dependencies between teamExperience applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory as a Scrum Master for a software development teamExperience working in a regulated environment preferredComprehensive understanding of Agile, Scrum and XP software development methodologies, values, and practices requiredAbility to articulate the value of metrics and reporting within agile delivery including backlog management, burndown/burnup charts, team velocity, cycle times and task definitionExcellent understanding of Jira & Confluence and the ability to create compelling reporting from underlying dataDesirable - Certified Scrum Master with experience utilizing the Scrum framework
