The Global Technology (GT) team at Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW) is on a multi-year journey to modernize technical and digital products and platforms across all business lines. This role demands a leader with a technical understanding of the range of technical products in solving complex business challenges. **Specific Job Summary**
Based at the Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW) Corporate Office in Orlando, FL, the **Scrum Master** is responsible for being a leader and coach for Agile team members ensuring the effective application of Agile principles to deliver high-value products and services. This role is pivotal in fostering collaboration, enabling continuous improvement, and facilitating the successful delivery of projects aligned with Marriott Vacations Worldwide’ s strategic goals.

**Specific Expected Contributions**
**Agile Facilitation**
+ Facilitates all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring productive outcomes.
+ Guides teams and stakeholders in understanding and applying Agile principles and Scrum practices effectively.
+ Actively removes impediments to team progress, ensuring the seamless flow of work.
+ Shields the team from external interference and remove roadblocks reported by the team
+ Fosters a culture of trust, transparency, and collaboration across the team and with stakeholders.
+ Builds trust by providing transparency on how products and platforms are being developed to the Business and Global Technology organizations
**Team Development & Support**
+ Empowers teams to self-organize and take ownership of deliverables, driving accountability and high performance.
+ Serves as a mentor and coach for team members to enhance their Agile capabilities and overall productivity.
+ Builds strong partnerships with Product Owners, ensuring alignment on priorities and goals.
+ Resolves conflicts within the team constructively and maintain a healthy team dynamic.
+ Fosters a continuous learning environment, assisting teams in inspecting and adapting how they work
+ Encourages and empowers the Sprint Team’s self-organization of work, including user story ownership, work activities, and updates.
**Delivery Management**
+ Track team performance using Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts) and use insights to drive continuous improvement.
+ Ensure the delivery of sprint commitments aligns with Marriott Vacations Worldwide’ s business objectives and customer needs.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on dependencies, risks, and timelines.
**Continuous Improvement**
+ Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to optimize team efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Drive innovation by encouraging creative problem-solving and experimentation within the team.
+ Advocate for Agile best practices and contribute to the scaling of Agile methodologies across the organization.
**Specific Candidate Profile**
**Education**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
**Certifications Preferred**
+ Has Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP), Certified Scrum Coach (CSC), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification is required.
+ Expert in Scrum Methodologies; SAFe or CSM certification desirable
**Experience**
+ At least three years of experience as a Scrum Master in a software development, digital transformation, or technical product-focused, agile work environment with multiple delivery teams.
+ At least 10 years of progressive experience with agile teams in the delivery and development of software solutions.
+ Experience in agile software development lifecycle
+ Experience in a multi-national, matrix structured organization preferred.
+ Experience in Hotel Management, Vacation Ownership, or Hospitality preferred.

+ Technical
+ Strong understanding of the application of Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe practices. Facilitates all agile ceremonies with a focus on improving the team’s maturity in following agile delivery
+ Analytical, conceptual strategic planning and execution skills. Familiarity with financial analysis and associated reporting tools.
+ Possesses the confidence to be the voice of authority on agile process matters.
+ Proficiency in Agile tools such as Jira (JIRA Align, JIRA Premium), Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
+ Advanced JIRA Experience on customization and configuration to measure and track OKRs and Agile KPIs
+ Understanding of current and emerging technologies and to drive digital business.
+ Experience managing change with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
