**Responsibilities**
As a Scrum Master with Ascension Technologies, you will serve one or more Agile Scrum teams to support the creation and maintenance of our Insurance suite of applications in the rapidly growing healthcare software industry. You will apply Agile principles to support the development team(s) with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more development teams who create solutions for our Insurance division
+ Facilitate Agile ceremonies e.g. daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives
+ Collect and present metrics in various formats for different audiences
+ Remove obstacles and roadblocks in order to maintain the development flow
+ Make use of data to create actionable plans for development flow or reporting optimization and improvements
+ Ensure testing is collaboratively planned and fully defined with testing resources
+ Monitor Ascension resource expenditures to ensure compliance with sprint expectations and standards
+ Maintain an attitude of commitment and exhibit responsibility for the needs of the internal tech team and our business partners
+ Be a source of inspiration and foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork
+ Maintain a safe environment, where everyone feels respected, empowered, and free to express their constructive thoughts and feelings
**Required Experience:**
B.S. degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience playing the role of Scrum Master for one or more development teams
Strong knowledge of standard Agile metrics and KPIs
Expertise with Atlassian Jira managing backlogs and sprint boards
**Preferred Experience:**
Experience working in a hybrid environment including elements of both Waterfall and Agile
Expertise with Atlassian Jira creating meaningful dashboards, collecting metrics, and presenting sprint and increment status in a meaningful way
Expertise with Atlassian Jira custom questions, screens, and workflows
Experience with Quarterly Planning
Experience scaling Agile across multiple teams and groups (e.g., SAFe, Less)

**Requirements**
Education:
+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
