A Scrum Master is a key role in the Scrum framework, which is used to implement Agile project management principles. The Scrum Master acts as a facilitator and a servant leader for the Scrum team, helping them follow Scrum practices and principles while removing any obstacles that may hinder the team's progress. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Act as Scrum Master for 1 or more scrum teams with a focus on coaching the team towards improving the delivery of value Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint/iteration planning, daily planning, retrospective, and sprint demos Assist the Product Owner with regular and disciplined backlog refinement Work with various stakeholders to remove impediments to the team Maintain relevant metrics that help the team measure and improve performance Liaise between the Development teams and Product Management, fostering communication between the disciplines Lead dependency management and planning increment efforts Strengthen the presence of our team on the Agile Project, Program, and Portfolio Office Actively contribute to the company’s Agile culture Ability to manage multi-disciplinary project teams through influencing and coaching Ensure the team comes to agreement on what can be achieved on each sprint (or other period of time) Facilitate daily stand-ups to help the team reach consensus on what was done, what will be done, and what obstacles may exist
