Scrum Master - (Hybrid)

We’re seeking a Scrum Master to work with our stellar team! The TSD organization is going through an agile transformation, the framework chosen to start with is Scrumban. As a scrum master, you will be in charge of building agile teams (2 or 3), teaching them the agile methodology, transitioning them from the old way of working to agile, help them implement the best practices and adapt them to their constraints to maximize the benefits.  

We are made up of high-performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed.  This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remotely.

Responsibilities  

Help the team understand the agile mindset, values, principles, practices, frameworks (including roles and responsibilities) and coach them in reaping the benefits as they see fit.

Enable the team to improve their practices and their interactions, with the aim of improving the team’s effectiveness.

Promoting the value of transparency (e.g. the work being done and to be done) and support the team defining and implementing the right tools to do so.

Facilitate and ensure ceremonies take place, are productive, positive, kept within the timebox and that their value is understood by everyone.

Coach the team members in self-organizing.

Help the team remain focused on delivering the agreed highest value for the client.

Facilitate and educate the teams in impediments identification and resolution handling.

Help the Project Manager (PM) find techniques for effective backlog management.

Shares techniques for identifying an MVP (e.g. story mapping), helps the team understand the need for clear and concise backlog items & supports the team in providing forecasts.

Gather metrics (e.g. cycle time, lead time, throughput, work in progress) and identify ways of improving them together with the team (e.g. during retrospectives).

Facilitate stakeholder collaboration as requested or needed.

Promotes a culture of direct feedback & conflict resolution between team members and facilitates the conflict resolution when this is not possible.  

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience in Computer Science or similar. 

Prior experience as a Scrum Master. 

Able to deal with multiple projects and deadlines. 

Must be self-motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse personality types. 

Has an agile mindset and thoroughly understands agile software development methodologies. 

Must have exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills.

Effectively contributes to proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems.

Exposure in FinTech industry is a plus.
