**Location:** Wilmington, DE
**Duration:** 5 months
**Overview:**
We are seeking a Scrum Master II to provide servant-leadership and mentorship to multiple cross-functional agile teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile principles and frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and Extreme Programming (XP), and will work to foster a culture of continuous improvement. This role will focus on strengthening teams, guiding them through agile practices, and promoting collaboration, self-organization, and transparency. The Scrum Master II will help visualize team progress and remove impediments to ensure the team stays focused on achieving their goals.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Apply a broad knowledge base of agile practices including user stories, retrospectives, story mapping, Acceptance Test-Driven Development (ATDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), continuous integration, pairing, information radiators, etc., to help create high-performing teams.
+ Foster a continuous improvement culture, encouraging transparency, collaboration, and retrospectives to discover better ways of working.
+ Curate content to guide teams regarding agile practices, providing team-level coaching and support.
+ Facilitate key agile meetings such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and problem-solving sessions.
+ Promote transparency by helping teams visualize their workflow through appropriate use of information radiators.
+ Address blocking issues that are outside the team’s authority and require support from other teams or management.
+ Collaborate with other Agile Leaders to continuously improve the application of Agile practices within the organization.
+ Mentor less experienced Scrum Masters and provide support in their professional growth.
+ Host learning opportunities such as communities of practice, conferences, and training to advance agile skills across teams.
+ Ensure adherence to the company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls.
+ Identify and escalate risk-related issues to management, and assist in the design and implementation of internal controls.
+ Promote a work environment that supports diversity and reflects the company's brand.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Scope of Responsibilities:**
+ Responsible for the facilitation of agile ceremonies across multiple teams.
+ Actively contribute to a collaborative environment aimed at optimizing team performance and process improvements.
+ Maintain agile processes, removing obstacles, and ensuring the team has the support they need to succeed.
**Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:**
+ This position does not have direct managerial responsibilities but influences team dynamics and performance through leadership and coaching.
+ Works closely with other agile leaders to increase the effectiveness of Agile practices across the organization.
**Education and Experience Required:**
+ Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience as a member of an agile team, including at least 2 years as a Scrum Master, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 8 years of higher education and/or work experience, including at least 4 years of experience as a member of an agile team, including at least 2 years as a Scrum Master.
+ Strong background in Data.
+ Familiarity with SAFe and basic agile metrics.
+ Proficiency with Jira and PowerBI.
**Education and Experience Preferred:**
+ Depth of knowledge in at least two technology team roles (e.g., project manager, user experience, business analyst, developer, testing, deployment).
+ Prior experience fostering team self-organization and continuous improvement.
+ Knowledge of Agile and Lean principles and practices.
+ Experience in developing and managing digital capabilities.
+ Understanding of Design Thinking principles.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Prior experience leading through influence.
