Scrum Master (Local to IL)
The Scrum Master is an influential leader and change agent for the company. This position guides the team and company in effectively employing Product Model, Agile and Scrum practices and principles to create value and increase customer and stakeholder satisfaction. The Scrum Master assesses the Scrum maturity of the department

and organizes and coaches the team to higher levels of maturity. The Scrum master serves as a facilitator, Coach and artifact guardian. Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: Act as a servant leader coaching the team to stay true to agile and scrum techniques, and product model as it is implemented at RCCB o Serve as a teacher and coach for use of tools and processes adhering to our product model. o Act as an internal consultant on agile, scrum and product models. Work with and educate team members, stakeholders how to best work with scrum and product teams. o Be a change leader and role model for others in the company o Identify and remove blockers and distractions from the team. o Facilitate discussions that lead to the resolution of issues and development impediments o Promote teamwork and foster an environment of collaboration and open communication Own sprint management o Conduct daily stand-up meetings for the team to discuss blockers, plans and progress. o Hold sprint reviews assessing the performance of the sprint. Capture Feedback. o Guide sprint planning sessions where prioritized user stories are elaborated for acceptance criteria and points. o Schedule retrospectives to explore opportunities for improvement. Record and implement action items for future sprints Coach / mentor to encourage consistent, core best practices across the teams for both the scrum and product model o Be a partner with the product owner, product manager, scrum team and stakeholders. o Foster and teach the use of product tools including Azure DevOps, product models, and automation tools to ensure consistency, transparency and adherence. o Understand, comply and guide your teams as they navigate IT processes across all areas of the organization. o Manage relationships and communicate openly and frequently with leadership, operational teams, product leaders and project stakeholders. o Follow up on action items. Serve as artifact guardian for the product and sprint team. o Work as the administrator of the scrum board. Ensure cards are up to date and that the tools are working well and being used correctly. o Create and maintain appropriate artifacts as needed for scrum, agile and product models. o Encourage and foster the maintenance of the product backlog o Protect and groom the sprint backlog and product increment Guide multiple projects of medium to large scale through all sprints and iterations and phases. o Work with multiple outside dependencies and remote project team members. o Manage shared resources across multiple projects o Initiate and facilitate project kick-off and inception activities. o Manage dependencies and communication between the Scrum Teams and cross-functional within the company o Provide fiduciary oversight of programs and sustaining investments/costs to deliver business financial objectives o Remain current with new tools, techniques, and methodologies from product, teams and Agile community as apply knowledge as needed Regardless of work location, Scrum Master must always be available during normal working hours. Required Skills and Experience: Education o Bachelors degree, 3 to 5 plus years of IT Project Management experience or o HS Diploma/GED and 7 plus years of IT Project Management experience 2 plus years acting as a ScrumMaster and ScrumMaster certification (CSM) 2 plus years of experience working with outsource partners Learning mindset Understands product model Ability to run projects in the Scrum and Kanban methodologies, with multiple outside dependencies and remote project team member
