Prudential is seeking a highly skilled Marketing Scrum Master / Project Manager to lead the execution of multiple key marketing initiatives and projects within on our IMO channel. The ideal candidate will be a have a strong background in Project Management, identify as a self-starter with a business owner’s mentality, and be focused on delivering on business goals and priorities. Reporting to the Director, Portfolio Management and Strategic Implementation responsible for Project & Process Management and Planning & Prioritization, this individual is responsible for the successful execution and delivery of marketing and communication solutions, specifically within the IMO space. The candidate will be well-versed in developing project plans, timelines, and manage delivery of material from inception through completion. This individual will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Marketing Strategists and functional teams and serving as project manager, marketing consultant and creative service liaison.
In this role, the individual will balance the needs and requirements of the business, along with the needs and requirements of the internal teams to ensure, efficient project plans, clear communications with all respective partners, optimized processes, and high-quality outputs are consistently produced by the team. Additionally, it is expected that this individual establish themselves as a strategic partner to the Marketing Strategists by getting involved early and often in the early stages of strategy ideation and project development. As knowledge and business acumen increases, the Scrum Master will align themselves with their business partners to identify and define project objectives, budgets, messaging, vehicles, distribution methods, and other related information needed to successfully deliver and deploy marketing solutions.
Responsibilities
Lead Agile sprint ceremonies, such daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure the team is on track and aligned.Manage the Agile kanban board and backlogs in workflow toolsPartner with functional partners to ensure functional resource capacity is allocated to accomplish pod goals, priorities, and deliverablesDrive execution on integrated campaigns, launches, and multi-faceted initiativesServe as a liaison across departments, ensuring clear communication and fulfillment of project initiatives.Prioritize project delivery based on scope and stakeholder needs, ensuring on-time, on-budget completion.Manage project progression using online workflow tools and coordinate all phases of project plans.Oversee asset management through SME and Compliance review, ensuring quality and adherence to regulations.Collaborate with Marketing Strategists to develop competitive positioning for the brand and products.Contribute to global prioritization and capacity management, anticipating and resolving cross-project impacts.Responsible for understanding the needs and priorities of the Growth Markets business, specifically within the IMO spaceClear hurdles for the team to do its best and most efficient work in a timely mannerPartner with Marketing Strategists and functional teams to create solutions that position the brand and product competitively in support of business goalsIn partnership with the Agile Pod Lead and Marketing Lead, ensure all projects have a measurement plan that demonstrates business impact and contribution to desired outcomes.What you’ll need
Minimum of 8 years in marketing/communications project management, preferably in the insurance and financial services industry.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.Strong relationship-building skills, with a proven track record of collaborating on project delivery.Proficient in Agile methodologies with a keen understanding of agency-like systems.Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to guide junior staff.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in convention and event marketing.Ability to effectively handle high volume of work in a rapid environmentSelf-directed and Proactive – needing little to no monitoring to ensure deliveryProblem solver with a critical eye for attention to detailImpressive time management and analytical skillsStrong focus on the success of the teamIt’d be a plus if you had
Agile Scrum Master certification, if not the ability and passion to become certifiedExperience working in or project managing within an Agile environmentMarketing experience within the IMO spaceThe current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis in our Newark, NJ, Fort Washington, PA or CT offices as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What we offer you:Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $115,800.00 to $172,300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
