SDA- Sr. Advanced Systems Engineer (Mission Planning / Interface Control Documentation / Thread-Based Modeling)

$82.19-$87.19/Hour
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and manage satellite contact planning systems, including Use Case and thread-based modeling for software messaging systems.Author and manage Interface Control Documents (ICDs) through system design and integration phases.Perform requirements analysis, system design, and trade studies for subsystems and system elements.Conduct technical planning, cost/risk analyses, and supportability evaluations for complex systems.Develop and evaluate secure systems, networks, and information systems to meet government specifications.Support system accreditation/certification processes and develop related security documentation.Participate in modeling and simulation efforts to support system design and integration.Collaborate with external partners, including Iridium, SDA, Northrup, York, and Lockheed, to align program goals and deliverables.Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, plus 8+ years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.Technical Expertise:Experience in designing, coding, or modeling satellite contact planning systems.Proficiency in system design, including Use Case and thread-based modeling.Expertise in ICD development from system design through integration phases.Preferred Experience:Knowledge of satellite communications and ground-to-satellite operations.Ground operations experience in Agile program environments.Your Recruiter Still have questions?
