Senior Software Engineer in Test (Hybrid)

Roles/Responsibilities

· Review business and system requirements/user stories

· Design and prioritize Scenarios/test cases.

· Organize test scenarios/test cases in ADO -respective work stream.

· Participate in Scrum Review meetings, Walkthroughs.

· Identify test cases for Test Automation

· Collect the test data or data mining and set up the test data for functional testing & Automation testing.

· Identify the tests to validate for API’s.

· Create API collections/tests in Postman. Automate API tests.

· Ensure to identify the tests that need be validated in mobile web browsers.

· Execute the test cases and ensure that the outcomes of the tests are recorded.

· Ensure that all test case input sources and test case output results are documented and can be audited.

· Develop UI Automate test scripts using Cypress.

· Migrate the automation scripts to GIT.

· Configure the Automation scripts in ADO CI/CD pipeline and Jenkins.

· Schedule Automation nightly runs and verify the test results and log defects as PBI’s in respective work stream.

· Identify test scenarios for Performance testing.

· Design Performance test scripts at API level

· Execute Load tests using JMeter.

· Document any problems, and work with the project team i.e. Business Analysts, developers, etc. to resolve problems identified during the testing

· Perform Functional testing, Regression, Performance Testing, System Integration testing, User Acceptance testing (UAT) as and when required

· Report and track defects by providing reproducible test cases and work with other team members to document and close issues. Provide feedback in Defect Review meetings.

· Maintain training and project documentation in Configuration Management system.

· Coordinate and communicate with QA/Test Lead on all project related matters.

· Provide weekly test status to the QA/Test Lead

· Assist Test Lead with lead duties as and when required.

· Participates in and/or conducts training, meetings, and report preparation.

· May assist QA manager in establishing new processes, documentation templates, etc. for the QA team.

Required Qualifications
