Sea Logistics Pricing Supervisor

Are you thinking about advancing your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Jersey City is looking for a new Sea Logistics Pricing Supervisor to join our Sea Logistics Pricing team.
**Your Role**
In this high profile and externally facing Global Sea Logistics position reporting to the Global Sea Logistics Trade Manager you will be required to work with area pricing teams, national sales, and vertical sales. As a global role that touches on all aspects of the business, you will have discretion to represent the company when facing customers and vendors alike. You will be responsible for making dynamic decisions affecting the core of our sea freight pricing strategy.
**Your Responsibilities**
+ Develop pricing strategy and make dynamicpricing decisions:
+ Work to support the pricing strategies for the Area Pricing Teams
+ Work with Global Sea Logistics Trade Manager to monitor pricing trends.
+ Assist Allocation & Yield team to maximize margin for sea freight business.
+ Manage working relationship with ocean carrier
+ Handle multiple priorities and establish liaison between external and internal key stakeholders.
+ Take part in market discussions (supply and demand, pricing, policies effect on key players in the industry, etc.) by attending and leading weekly carrier meetings.
+ Negotiate rates with ocean carrier to ensure coverage of new and existing business
+ Respond on carrier related escalations
+ Maintain reporting for ocean carrier, customer, contract and area performance.
+ Identify trends, and opportunities to increase market share.
+ Create solutions that reduce costs and improve tender successful ratio.
+ Build data visualization dashboards to help make supply chain decisions.
+ Able to work cross functionally across departments to improve data quality across business units.
+ Design tools to improve the efficiency of report generation.
+ Tender & Project Management
**Your Skills and Experiences**
+ Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, supply chain management or related field
+ 4+ years of relevant work experience
+ Experience with data analytics tools, such as Business Objects, Tableau
+ You have the ability to travel for business reasons
+ Knowledge of geographic and seasonal trends in the ocean freight industry
+ Strong written and verbal communication
