What You'll Do
The SEA Marketing Specialist will be responsible for both ongoing and ad hoc projects that build BCG’s presence and expertise in Thailand. These projects include but are not limited to both external and internal communications; marketing databases and operations; and country - and/or industry-specific engagements that showcase BCG’s expertise, impact and thought leadership to the business community.
The Marketing team strategizes and executes all branding and marketing activities. This includes managing media relations, social media, facilitating strategic partnerships, reviewing content for publications and opinion editorials, and organizing events for sharing BCG's thought leadership. BCG serves SEA from its seven offices in the region – Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bangkok, Manila, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
This position is part of the SEA Marketing Team and reports directly to the SEA Head of Marketing. This role includes working closely with the Bangkok office leadership, SEA Partner Group and BCG’s AP/Global Marketing team.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
Work with the local leadership and Head of Marketing to shape media and communications strategy, plan editorial pipeline and carry out media engagement for BCG across the priority media channels for coverage in key publicationsFocus on building relationships with local Thailand media and regional/international media based in ThailandIdentify key events and conferences in Thailand and SEA for our spokespersons to join, speak at and networkIdentify key industry organizations our spokespersons should be members of, or that BCG should collaborate with for co-branded initiativesWork with and provide counsel to the senior leadership team, based on the marketing strategy that is aligned with business prioritiesDevelop and manage bespoke client-focused engagements that showcase BCG’s expertise and experience to the desired target audienceTake the lead in end-to-end event/webinar management, from agenda-setting to post-event follow-up, for priority BCG engagementsCreate/coordinate high-quality print and electronic communications for BCG’s clients (direct mail, web, brochures, etc.) and the public at large for country-specific and regional distribution. Draft and/or edit op-eds, articles, publications, social media posts, and other marketing documents when requiredLiaise with translators, and review marketing documents (e.g. op-eds, articles, written interview responses) translated from English to Thai to ensure translation quality aligns with business standards and requirementsTake the lead in drafting and distributing a quarterly marketing newsletter tailored specifically for Bangkok, collaborating closely with the local leadership team to curate content relevant for each issueWork with AP Marketing and global practice area marketing teams to amplify BCG SEA activities to the wider BCG communityLead and coach marketing administrators and executive assistants who support event management for Marketing eventsWhat You'll Bring
Experience in Communications Marketing and a strong grasp of traditional and digital media with 5-7 years of related industry experience (In-house/agency)Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to analyze information and present data in a meaningful wayClarity, tact, professionalism, maturity and consensus building skills – in writing, speaking and presenting informationExceptional organizational and project management skills combined with an ability to multi-task and adapt quickly in a fast-paced and demanding environmentA keen sense of the market landscape and your finger on the pulse of current events, topics, and trends in Thailand relevant to our businessAn ability to provide cultural or market-specific insights for ThailandAn ability to work independently and take initiativeStrong attention to detail, accurate and thoroughBilingual fluency or business-level proficiency in English and Thai requiredBe willing to travel (occasional travel within the SEA region)A strong network of relationships with local Thai business mediaExperience working in a similar capacity within the professional services industry / corporate communications/public relations consultancyExperience dealing with senior level stakeholders (internal or external)Boston Consulting Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
