** This position is seasonal (random weeks in June, July, or early August 2025) at Mount Hermon's Conference Center. This job is part-time, paid hourly, and room and board are not included. **

 

Position Objective:

Seasonal Assistant Counselors provide safety and well-being while befriending children (infants through 5th grade) to nurture spiritual growth through program activities and curriculum in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision and values.

 

General Qualifications:

The Seasonal Assistant Counselor is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work, stewardship, relationships and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) mission, vision and beliefs. They are responsible for defining, cultivating and leading MHA’s Christian community, conference programs, and retreats. 

 

Key Job Accountabilities: 

Provide for the physical and spiritual welfare of campers through discipline and guidance of children. Provide clear and open communication with parents regarding their child’s/children’s well-being with special attention to overall well-being, safety and discipline. Assist in small and large group teaching of curriculum as well as in crafts, music, drama, group games, etc. Share in the responsibilities of keeping camp areas including workspaces and supplies clean and orderly. Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
