Job Opening:
The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources seeks applicants for a Contract Seasonal Employee to perform the following duties:

The Contract Seasonal Employee will assist in all operations related to mosquito control.

Responsibilities include:

Inspect, treat, and collect data on catch basin, freshwater, and salt marsh larviciding sites.Apply adulticides as directed by supervisory personnel.Collect data accurately, record data, and submit data to supervisory personnel promptly.Assist with placing, retrieving, and maintaining greenhead fly traps.Assist with the implementation of wetland management projects as directed by supervisory personnel.Operate and maintain equipment and vehicles used in mosquito control, wetlands management, and /or the greenhead fly program.Assist in the surveillance program as needed.Some job duties may require lifting up to 70 lbs.Will assist in maintaining/cleaning District facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of mosquito biology, knowledge of the District geography and the ability to represent the District in a professional and positive manner are preferred.

Period of Employment: April 2025 – September 2025Work Week: 4 day, 40 hours per week, Monday – ThursdayHolidays are unpaid days off4.61544 sick hours earned per 40 hours worked$21.00 per hour
