Allied Universal® Event Services' Unified Command Technologies division is hiring a Seasonal Field Technician. This role is primarily responsible for assisting with the setup, monitoring, and disconnection of cameras. Additionally, the Seasonal Field Technician helps build wired and wireless mesh networks to ensure seamless video streaming to a central location.

The pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. This is a part-time, seasonal role that requires 100% travel for assignments across the domestic U.S.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Load and unload equipment in preparation of the eventSafely operate motor vehicle from passenger vehicle and box truck of 16’ up to 26’Install temporary IP cameras across large special event venuesInstall and build out a combination of wired and wireless mesh networkConfigure IP video cameras and wireless back haul equipment back to a centralized command postBuild a temporary video wallActively monitor cameras during event operational days or earlier as designated by project managerAssist in the maintenance of the IP camera system during the event including monitoring the overall system health and implementing changes as necessary.Assist in the maintenance of the wireless network during the event including monitoring the network and implementing changesFollow all safety protocols and guidelinesUninstall and pack equipment at the end of the eventTag equipment for repairs prior to shipping

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

High school diploma or equivalentValid driver's licenseMinimum of two (2) years of work experience installing and configuring security cameras and wireless networksAbility to read, analyze, and interpret engineering and construction drawings and specificationsTerminate RJ45 consistently and effectively in a timely mannerIntermediate computer proficiencyUnderstanding of IP addresses, subnets and network topologyStrong interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to work in a team environmentAbility to multi-task, discerns patterns in detailExcellent oral and written communication skillsAble to speak clearly, give direction, and provide guidance to employees and security staff during emergenciesAble to work and communicate effectively with all levels of leadershipPlanning and organizing skillsProblem solving skills; ability to develop and implement logical solutionsActive listening skills; able to synthesize facts, concepts, principlesAssess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accuratelyAttention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

Previous experience in construction, telecommunications network maintenance, electrical work, security systems
