Overview About the role If you are passionate about the culinary arts, come join us as we open our new fine dining restaurant, Theodosia! This individual is responsible for assisting the server and culinary team for dinner service. The primary responsibilities for the Food Runner include but are not limited to: Run food to table in a timely and efficient manner. Set up and clear tables, stock all service stations and assist servers with table service to ensure total guest satisfaction. Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting. Promptly and consistently reset all service-ware as prescribed. Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments. Serve guests with beverages, breads and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary. Practice "Teamwork" and "Clean as you go" policies. Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning. Attend departmental meetings. Follow proper standards and etiquette for room service deliveries. Memorize table numbers and seat numbers of the dining room and bar. Follow opening & closing side work sheet for food runner position Provides the highest quality of service to guests at all times and practices all luxury service standards. Wears proper uniform and name tag at all times in accordance with the standards of personal appearance guidelines. Performs all other duties deemed necessary by management. Is a team player and supports our culture of 'People First' Qualifications · High School Diploma or GED preferred · One year of restaurant experience is recommended but not required · Must be able to communicate respectfully and clearly with guests, customers, supervisor and fellow employees · Must be able to work a flexible shift schedule to include weekdays, weekends, AM, PM, split shifts, and holidays. This is a night time intensive position working primarily dinner shift hours. · Must be able to handle guest requests and/or complaints
