Seasonal Hire in Development & Public Affairs / Marketing & Communications

Position Summary:

UTHealth Houston has a seasonal hire/internship opening in Development & Public Affairs / Marketing & Communications. This is a part-time role that will be paid hourly. This role is suitable for those interested in Development, Marketing, and Volunteer/ Patient Relations in an academic health science center. This position supports a variety of advancement/marketing activities and reports to the Sr. Director of Philanthropic Initiatives. This position will work approximately 30 hours per week for six months.  

 

Position Key Responsibilities:

Assist in project management for marketing campaigns, including coordination, review, and execution. Conduct research on best practices for marketing campaigns in higher education and healthcare fields. Write and edit web copy for digital platforms. Support photo editing and optimization for marketing materials and web content. Collaborate with the marketing team on content development and strategy. Participate in learning opportunities related to marketing, branding, and communication. Help with design and/or redesign of program collateral: Leave behinds, digital ads for clinics, departmental fundraising materials, etc Contribute to program website revisions. Assist with logistics and deploy training sessions. Assist with alumni/volunteer engagement events from start to finish Supported digital marketing efforts with UTHealth Houston online alumni community Support stewardship initiatives with correspondence, Thank-View digital platform, pre/post-event engagement activities
