POSITION OVERVIEW: The Seasonal IT Support Technician will assist in troubleshooting, maintaining, and deploying computer systems, software, and related IT infrastructure. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields looking to develop real-world skills in IT support. Key Responsibilities: + Assist in setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktop computers, laptops, and mobile devices. + Provide technical support for end-users, including diagnosing hardware and software issues. + Support IT staff in configuring and deploying Windows 11 workstations. + Help manage IT asset inventory and documentation. + Assist with basic network troubleshooting and connectivity issues. + Install and update software applications as needed. + Perform other IT-related tasks as assigned. OR + Undergraduate or graduate students may be granted additional compensation of up to $.50 more per hour (up to the maximum hourly rate) for each full year of completed education on the basis of 30 semester hours equaling one (1) year. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS + Incumbents in this class assigned to recreational activities must be able to perform emergency first aid as needed and certain positions will require a current Standard First Aid Certificate. + Incumbents in this class assigned as bus drivers or operators of a motor vehicle must possess and retain a current Connecticut Motor Vehicle Operator License to drive a bus and/or a Motor Vehicle Operators License as necessary. + Incumbents in this class may be required to travel.
