Here is what you will be doing each day:
As our Laundry Attendant/Housekeeper you will be working with our Housekeeping team providing supervision and direction for all housekeeping and laundry activities of the hotel to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are maintained.
The ideal candidate will ensure that all linens and towels meet our high standards of cleanliness and quality. This role is essential in maintaining a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests.
Operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload laundry from machines. Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications. Monitor feeder information on washers, make sure all drums are full, and report any irregularities to immediate supervisor. Set the proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen. Clean up machines and surrounding areas, Keep the laundry area clean and follow all safety protocols. Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping. Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents and wearing of PPE. Strip and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs. Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly. Push and pull vacuum throughout the entire room and empty trash. Adhere to departmental standards on a safe work environment. Working alone, use of wet floors signs in public and BOH areas. Needle disposal units, biohazard wash bags used if required.11. Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.
12. Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy
cart. Visually inspect the room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
13. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
14. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned in the housekeeping dept & laundry.
15. Report any damage / deficiencies to housekeeping leadership, maintenance departments.
16. Handle lost and found in accordance with polices implemented at the
property.
17. Assist co workers to complete tasks as required.
18. Assist in houseperson back of house and front of house duties (public areas, restaurant and event space as assigned.

You can communicate well with guests, and always willing to “pitch-in” and be a team player. You have knowledge of basic sanitation requirements/controls and applications of chemicals and knowledge of all processes applicable to housekeeping and laundry.
