Skid Loader Operator
The Skid Loader Operator operates the skid loader in a safe manner to keep the piler are free of spilled beets and mud. Duties and areas of responsibility include:
o Clean up dirt and beets around piler
o Load cleanup dirt into contractor’s trucks
o Complete daily checklist for skid loader and maintain skid loader (i.e.: check oil, fuel, hydraulic fluid)
o Assist with greasing, lubrication and maintenance on skid loaders
Required skills:
o Previous experience operating skid loader
o Ability to adhere to all safety and housekeeping protocol; employee needs to know the whereabouts of the crew to ensure their safety
o General mechanical knowledge of hydraulic systems, sprockets, belts, bearings, chains, and electrical systems
o Ability to use a shovel, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds
