The Seasons CNA assists with ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing resident related support services as well as therapeutic and social programming to meet the physical and emotional needs of residents.

Responsibilities

Seasons CNA Essential Job Functions

Ability to assist residents with all aspects of Activities of Daily Living including but not limited to toileting, transferring, ambulation, eating assistance and clothing change. Responsible for responding immediately to residents' needs and requests. Assist residents with therapeutic and social activities/situations that are designed to appeal to his or her interests and enhance the resident’s highest practicable level of physical, mental and psychosocial well-being. Assist with meal service as needed, feeding assistance (if applicable) Assist in providing appropriate mental stimulation for residents: Transport residents and encourage participation in residents’ social programming. Conduct informal programs on the neighborhoods when time permits or as assigned. Offer input and assist in completion of: Daily Seasons program calendar, daily attendance, and monthly resident progress forms. Notify Licensed Nurse of changes in residents' conditions or needs: Follow plan of care in daily interaction with residents and report changes, appropriately. Inform nurse after monitoring fluid intake and output and other services or tasks as assigned. Maintain facility standards for resident care by: Maintaining familiarity with and protecting rights of residents. Ensuring that all residents are treated with respect and kindness by staff.Reporting to nurse in charge about facility equipment that needs repair, unsafe conditions in room or unit area, or personal needs of residents.Showing respect for personal possessions of residents and helping maintain an orderly and pleasant environment for residents during Seasons. Attends facility meetings, staff meetings, and required or preferred in-services. Generates and develops ideas which improve the quality of care for residents or increase position productivity and satisfaction Utilizes electronic timekeeping system as directed. Arrives to work on time, regularly, and works as scheduled. Recognizes and follows the dress code of the facility including wearing name tag at all times. Follows policy and procedure regarding all electronic devices, computers, tablets, etc. Supports and abides by Elderwood’s Mission, Vision, and Values. Abides by Elderwood’s businesses code of conduct, compliance and HIPAA policies. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor, management staff or Administrator. Qualifications

Seasons CNA Essential Educational Requirements and Qualifications

Eighteen (18) years of age required. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Registration in the State Nurse Aide Registry required.Active on the State Nursing Aide Registry with no findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment and misappropriation of property. Experience with dementia population desired.

Seasons CNA Skills and Competencies

Ability to verbally communicate well with residents; families or agents; team mates and other departments required.Ability to read and understand task assignments, and to report verbally and record care in writing required.Display of genuine concern for the elderly; a dependable, patient and compassionate attitude towards residents required.This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
