Recruitment/Posting Title SEBS EOF Academic Support in Math Instructor (4 Positions) Department SEBS - EOF Salary Salary per Credit Posting Summary Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (SEBS) Educational Opportunity (EOF) is seeking four (4), one-credit (1 cr.) math instructors to provide in-person instruction to first-year students in the SEBS EOF program taking a math course at Rutgers University, Spring 2025. Instructors will lead supplemental support sessions in Elementary Algebra (640:025), Intermediate Algebra (640:026), Precalculus (640:111) and/or Calculus (640:135). The Academic Support course (11:364:112) meets Thursdays, 4:05-5:00pm, for 15 weeks on the Cook/Douglass campus. In addition to class times, the instructor will also hold advising hours (2 hours per week) which can be held before and/or after class and by arrangement. The candidate will: provide academic support in developmental and/or college-level mathematics courses listed above; is responsible for preparing and delivering lectures in line with the students’ primary math course, moderating classroom discussions, and administering and grading assessments appropriate to the course which may include classwork, homework assignments, short quizzes, etc.; maintain accurate grade and attendance records using Canvas as the primary LMS; adhere to all laws pertaining to disclosure of student records; be available for regular check-ins with the SEBS EOF course coordinator.
