SEC Compliance Manager/Director
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an SEC Compliance Manager/Director to join our team in Palo Alto, California. This role operates within the Biotech industry and involves a blend of leadership responsibilities and SEC Reporting tasks. The role is based in a physical office location. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage SEC reporting and compliance • Guide the team in understanding and implementing SEC regulations • Ensure regular and accurate external reporting • Use your experience from a Big 4 or large regional accounting firm to improve processes and strategies • Apply your CPA skills to enhance the financial operations and compliance of the firm • Contribute to the commercialization process with your detail-oriented experience • Foster relationships with the investment community • Guide the team through progressive career growth opportunities Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in SEC Compliance or related field • Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required • Proven experience in External Reporting is necessary • Prior experience working in a Big 4 Accounting Firm is preferred • Proficient in SEC Financial Reporting is a must • Strong knowledge and understanding of SEC Regulations is essential • Candidate should be able to demonstrate a history of successful compliance management in previous roles • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines is crucial • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are needed • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to guide a team are key.
