UT Below are the expectations for candidates for the Second Cook job:  JOB REQUIREMENTS: *  Follows recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving food items. *  Tastes products, follows menus, estimates food requirements, checks production, and keeps records in order to properly plan production requirements and order supplies and equipment as needed. *  Operates a variety of kitchen equipment; measures and mixes ingredients; washes, peels, cuts, and shreds fruits and vegetables. *  Maintains and monitors product freshness on a daily basis *  Coordinates with other cooks for food output *  Maintains clean and sanitized work station and equipment *  Practices excellent sanitation and food safety processes and complies with HACCP standards *  Stocks, dates, rotates, and checks temperature of product *  Receives, stocks, moves, and lifts food and beverage products and supplies Education: * Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Specific Experience:  *  2-3 years of related culinary experience working in a high volume casual dining restaurant *  Intermediate level food knowledge pertaining to Soups, Sauces, and Pantry *  Must have proficient knife cutting skills *  Must possess complete knowledge of dry and moist cooking principles *  Requires knowledge of HAACP standards and food preparation skills *  Working knowledge of a variety of kitchen equipment including: ovens, slicers, grills, and fryers *  Comfortable working in a hot environment To be considered for this position, please use the "apply now" button to submit your resume.
