Second in Command, Pilot

As a Second in Command, Pilot you will be responsible for assisting the Captain, Sr Pilot, in the safe operation of our aircraft, ensuring the highest standards of aviation safety, and contributing to efficient flight operations. As an integral part of the flight crew, the Second in Command will assist with navigation, flight planning, communications, and handling of in-flight systems as needed.

Job Description

Full-Time, hours based on flight schedules, flexible.

Location: Keene, NH

You will contribute by:

Operating aircraft in compliance with all safety protocols and procedures.

Assisting the Captain with pre-flight planning, including analyzing routes and weather, calculating fuel requirements, and conducting crew briefings.

Communicating with Air Traffic Control (ATC) to receive clearances, weather updates, and operational instructions.

Monitoring flight instruments, conducting system checks, and reporting on aircraft performance.

Supporting the Captain in maintaining compliance with aviation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.

Assisting with post-flight responsibilities, such as aircraft inspections, preparing maintenance reports, and updating flight logs.

Taking control of the aircraft during emergencies or when instructed by the Captain.

Environment

Office : Office Temperature (65F to 75F)

Hanger : Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F)

We’re searching for candidates with:

A thorough understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and safety procedures.

Strong customer service orientation with a focus on safety and compliance.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The ability to respond quickly and appropriately in emergency situations.

Physical ability to remain seated for extended periods.

Comprehensive knowledge of Flight Operations Manuals, Training Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, Company Check Pilot Manuals (if applicable), and relevant civil aviation regulations.

Willingness and ability to support overnight travel, including multi-day international trips.

7-10 years of aviation experience with a bachelor’s degree in Aviation (through a military or certified program) and a minimum of 3,000 total flight hours, including 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command.
