**Job Title: Janitorial Worker** **Job Description** As a janitorial worker, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the building premises. Your duties will include sweeping, mopping, and washing floors, as well as using commercial-type floor buffers and shampoo machines. You will also be tasked with vacuuming rugs, cleaning and dusting furniture, washing windows and glass surfaces, and ensuring bathrooms are clean and stocked with supplies. Additionally, you will monitor and report defects such as clogged urinals and lights out, collect building trash, replace liners in waste baskets, and sweep or shovel snow from entrances and walkways as needed. **Shift and Pay** $17/hr 3:00 pm - 1:30 am 4:00 pm - 1:30 am **Responsibilities** + Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other surfaces inside buildings. + Use light and heavy commercial-type floor buffers and shampoo machines. + Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas, spot clean daily, and shampoo when directed. + Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting. + Wash windowsills, glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows. + Clean and spot clean interior walls as needed. + Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily, following standard bathroom procedures. + Monitor for defects such as clogged urinals and lights out and report them to supervisors. + Collect building trash daily, placing it in approved containers and designated collection areas for removal. + Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers as specified. + Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walkways at building entrances and connecting walkways/sidewalks as directed. + Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting, leather and wood surface polishing, and wall washing. + Complete any and all other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Housekeeping + Environmental service + Custodial duties + Janitorial cleaning + Sweeping + Vacuuming **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
