Secondary Marketing Analyst I Business Unit United Wholesale Mortgage Location US-MI-Pontiac  

The primary focus of this position will be daily P&L Reporting and attribution as well as creating and implementing new models and concepts to enhance the accuracy, profitability, and efficiently of financial accounting and managing our interest rate risk position using the QRM Framework.  Expected to perform multiple functions across the Secondary Marketing area, including developing and maintaining model inputs and improving the accuracy and efficiency of modeling interest rate risk.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING  Development and evolution of current daily P&L framework and attribution, including forecasting of expected future marginMaintain and improve key model assumptions including loan valuation, prepayment assumptions, and behavioral models that drive loan valuation and hedgingCreating new structures and processes that aligns priced in margin to modeled initial margin in QRMOwnership of fair valuation inputs and concepts to align valuation with our priced in marginOwnership of servicing valuation embedded in fair value calculations along with enhancement to servicing segmentation and valuationOwnership of modeling new Products from implementation within QRM Framework to valuation and reportingDesign and implement improvements to current reporting and/or database structureProvide insights for process efficiencies, functional realignments and overall continuous improvementBuilds adhoc analysis, reporting and models as needed with limited support WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Must Have Qualifications:

On-site attendance is required. Pontiac, MichiganBachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or applicable area2-5 years prior Capital Markets work experienceStrong analytical, problem solving skills and mathematical skillsExperience working with QRM preferredStrong analytical skills along with a desire to dig-in, research and solve problems independently, and lead data-driven analysis to support the businessMust be able to effectively and succinctly communicate research findings and proposed solutionsAdvanced experience using Excel, with ability to utilize PIVOTs, vLookup, & other analytical functionsExperience with Database Reporting, SQL, Hyperion, or other querying functionsStrong attention to detailStrong work ethic, self-motivation and driveKnowledge of the financial and mortgage marketsMust be coachable, able to take direction and feedback and have a willingness to learn and collaborate with the teamExcellent verbal communication, presentation, collaboration and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to gain trust, secure buy-in and influence change at all levels THE PLACE & THE PERKS
