The Capital Markets Trading Analyst will support the day-to-day trading of Agency MBS specified pools and TBAs. The Trading Analyst create and implement new processes and procedures, identify data-driven opportunities to enhance our hedging and execution strategies, and support the continued growth of our trading operations.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Utilizing data to ensure the Company’s mortgage loan pipeline is forecasted, tracked and hedged properly within the marketResearching market data from our broker dealers, third party data vendors, and other sources to implement enhanced processes with our trading teamProviding Management with ongoing information about relative value, market sentiment, trading environment, trading volume and price volatilityDeveloping and provides metrics on trading and executionProvides Capital Market team members with daily market updatesPerforming business analysis to identify opportunities to make our processes more efficient and identify solutions to grow and evolve our trading strategyOverseeing secondary market duties that aid in the selling and purchasing of loans, streamlining existing processes to facilitate loan sales.Scheduling and participating in calls with broker dealers to build relationships and enhance profitability.Developing solutions to streamline/automate existing processes and recommend process improvements to improve the efficiency of the capital markets teamSecuring buy-in and influence change at all levels through gaining trust with excellent verbal communication, presentation, collaboration and teamwork skillsResearching ad-hoc requests, develop proposals and work with necessary teams to implement solutions for programmatic resolution WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or applicable area2+ years of trading or modeling experience in Agency MBS specified pools & TBAStrong understanding of mortgage capital markets, mortgage-backed securities and whole loan purchases and saleProficient in Microsoft Office Applications with Advanced Excel skillsStrong organizational, written and verbal communication skillsStrong work ethic, self-motivation and driveFamiliarity with software programs and analytics used in mortgages; experience working with QRM a plusExperience with database and reporting software such as Hyperion or SQL THE PLACE & THE PERKSReady to join thousands of talented team members who are making the dream of home ownership possible for more Americans?
