Job Description An employer is looking for a Configuration Manager to sit at Fort Meade. This candidate will be responsible for updating and setting governances and best practices. They will set name conventions and version control, making sure update sets are scoped right, and keeping them modular. They track, manage and push update sets, monitor progress, and resolve conflicts with developers and admins. They control migration and deployment by validating sets in test environments before production, aligning releases with schedules, and ensuring correct capture and commitment. They ensure compliance by auditing update sets, documenting procedures, and avoiding unnecessary changes. They optimize processes using ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF), CI/CD pipelines, and Git integration. They work closely with teams, provide training, and act as a liaison to minimize deployment risks. Compensation: $50/hr to $60/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Skills and Requirements Secret Clearance Hold and active security certification that meets DOD 8570 IAT level II or higher, such as Security+ within 14 days of hire Bachelors Degree with 8 12 years of relevant experience or masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of work experience in lieu of degree is acceptable. Experience working with an Agile software development team, managing project deadlines (ideally in a Scrum Master, or Development role) Experience briefing leadership and/or customers of key status of project progression. Experience communicating with and briefing status to external stakeholders, including customer representatives. Experience using agile project management tools (e.g., Jira) Ability to manage time extremely well and quickly sense when an issue needs to be discussed or triaged. Must have strong attention to detail, as focus on task completion is critical. Must have prior experience supporting ServiceNow update sets with strong knowledge in configuration management Possesses 3-5 years experience with ServiceNow administration, configuration management and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. Prior knowledge and experience with ServiceNows ATFs Understanding of ITIL foundation or ITIL certified AWS cloud certifications Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
