Secret Linux Administrator
Insight Global is seeking an experienced Linux Administrator who can assist a client for up to 6 months in preparation for an upcoming cybersecurity audit. The Linux Admin will be responsible for assessing vulnerabilities, offer remedies and contribute to documentation/standard processes. The Linux System Administrator will be working with the client's internal IT team to maintain the Linux environment within the company network consisting of mixed Linux/Windows environment of physical and virtual servers (Azure) and Network Storage file servers all connected through high-speed LAN or Wireless network. The scope is to setup/configure/support active end users and the servers themselves, that interact with these systems on some level, mostly through applications or interactively via an SSH, VNC or ETX.

Responsibilities:
Develops, runs tests, implements, and maintains Linux-based operating system and related software, as well as hardware.
Designs and enhances tools for the Linux environment and its users.
Configures and is responsible for the overall function of computer systems that run Linux.
Ensures the recoverability, availability, scalability, and performance of the Linux environment.
Work with all the necessary fundamental network services like DNS, NFS, DHCP and directory services as well as
Improving the environment through automation with python and ansible.
Responsible for applying security patches and configuration changes within maintenance windows.
Respond to high-level incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Manage and maintain Linux servers, ensuring system security, performance, and reliability.
Identify and implement automation and process improvements, to stay current with industry trends.
Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
Work closely with other teams to achieve common goals to foster a collaborative work environment.

Compensation:
$50-70/hour

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
