Secret Network Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a qualified Secret Network Engineer in support of one of are large federal clients in Wallops Island, VA. This candidate will be supporting and be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our clients growing network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services. This role involves planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. Their day to day will include but is not limited to:
o Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
o Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
o Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
o Monitor network performance to ensure system availability and reliability
o Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
o Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
o Implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the companys security team
o Conduct regular network performance tuning and ensure network security through proper configuration and monitoring
o Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
o Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
o Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, and service records
Compensation:
$60k to $77k per year annual salary.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
