Job Overview:
Under the direction of the Manager, the Secretary assists in the planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities by performing clerical and receptionist duties and maintaining the physical environment of the area.

Required:
High school diploma Prior patient insurance authorization and verification experienceKnowledge of computer applications, including Word and Excel and the ability to multi-task successfullyExcellent verbal communication, interpersonal and demonstrated writing skillsPreferred:

Assist with scheduling patients Assist with answering the phoneCall to verify insurance company whenever a patient s insurance changes or when a new patient is pre-registeredAssist with obtaining insurance authorizations for infusion center treatments Schedule patient appointmentsCancer Center new patients and follow upsInfusion Center Patient insurance coverage verificationVerify treatment authorization for patients from insurance providerAnswer telephone and professionally direct questions directly related to department to appropriate personsCoordinates review of denied billingAttend departmental meetings Additional duties as assignedChoosing RWJBarnabas Health!
