+ At least five years of related professional work experience.
Additional Qualifications and Skills:
+ Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, complainants, respondents, witnesses, and others within and external to the University community. Ability to use utmost discretion while working with confidential and sensitive information. Ability to manage diverse and changing priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
+ Familiarity with federal statutes important to postsecondary education (e.g., Title IX, VAWA, Title VI, Clery Act, FERPA), experience in the higher education environment, and/or fluency in different languages a plus.

+ Facilitating processes of Hearing and Appellate Panels, including co-supervision of the Title IX Hearing/Appellate Panel Assistant.
+ Advising and serving as a resource to Hearing Panelists, Appellate Panelists, FFC members, local Title IX resources, personal advisors, and other University groups regarding the applicable policies and procedures.
+ Providing logistical assistance to the University President or their designee, and to the FFC, the FFC-assigned Investigator, and the FFC Appeals Panel, as needed.
+ Engaging in complex legal writing and analysis, including preparing summary materials, notice documents, and other applicable documents/materials for Hearing Panels, Appellate Panels, and the FFC.
+ Serving as liaison to the Investigator assigned by the FFC, as needed.
+ Managing all communications, correspondence, and applicable materials for Hearing Panels, Appellate Panels, the FFC, local Title IX Resource Coordinators, parties and their personal advisors, and witnesses.
+ Developing and implementing internal guidance and resource documents for Hearing Panels, Appellate Panels, and the FFC processes.
+ Developing and implementing training for personal advisors in hearings, appeals, and FFC processes.
+ Assisting in the development and implementation of training for Hearing Panelists, Appellate Panelists, Administrative/Review Board members, and Designees, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
+ Conducting informational sessions to Title IX Resource Coordinators and other University constituents.
+ Ensuring that all documents are properly processed, consistent with FERPA and community expectations for the handling of sensitive information.
+ Ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures and applicable Federal and state laws and regulations.
+ Serving as a representative for OGE to both internal and external constituencies at the direction of the University Title IX Coordinator.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the University Title IX Coordinator, the Secretary for Title IX Hearings, Appellate Panels, and the FFC is responsible for overall case management of Title IX hearings, Appellate Panels, and matters subject to the UCRR Fact-Finding Procedures.
The Secretary is responsible for the management of Hearing Panels and Appellate Panels, including working closely with the University Title IX Coordinator and the Hearing Chair on application of the University’s policies and procedures addressing sexual harassment and other sexual misconduct. The Secretary is also responsible for supporting the FFC in its application of the UCRR Fact-Finding Procedures.
