Position Summary  

Performs administrative/clerical duties in support of an assigned area. Schedules and coordinates all in-patient and out-patients surgical procedures for the OR, ASU, by entering required data into the OR Schedule System, printing and distributing daily schedules to assigned departments, and verifying surgery times, availability of equipment and staffing. Ensures that documentation, billing and revenue production is appropriate. Facilitate month end and general reports. Timekeeping in KRONOS for Surgical Services.


Minimum Qualifications 

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Medical terminology course preferred. 

Minimum Experience: Prefer at least six (6) months secretarial experience, unit secretary or medical secretary experience. Experience and knowledge in Computer Entry, telephone etiquette and public interactions. 

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
