U.S. Pacific Fleet, Commander in Chief
Summary You will serve as a SECRETARY (OA) in the Fleet Training Directorate of the Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet (COMPACFLT). Responsibilities You will provide the full range of administrative support services to assist in effectively and efficiently managing, coordinating, and expediting the efforts of the directorate staff to accomplish overall mission requirements. You will receive, review, and process incoming correspondence. You will monitor and review suspense actions tasked to the directorate via DoN Tracker, the Task Management System, or other means used to distribute action or information taskers. You will draft letters, directives, memoranda, and messages from oral instructions or from rough drafts directly into finished form. You will arrange, schedule, receive, and screen frequent telephone calls and visitors for the directorate. You will coordinate, schedule and technical set up for all in-house tele - conferences, events, and meetings. You will provide travel support to the directorate by serving as the Organizational Defense Travel Administrator (ODTA) and maintain knowledge of current Defense Travel System (DTS) processes. You will manage and keep current inventory of directorate office supplies, consumables, and equipment such as printers, copiers, telephones, etc. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing administrative support functions to include composing official Navy correspondence; scheduling meetings and maintaining calendar control; screening incoming phone calls and visitor arrivals; managing and coordinating IT office support; procuring office supplies, and providing travel assistance, contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of administrative operations. Pay retention may be granted when certain conditions are met. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
