**Job Summary and Qualifications**
The Administrative Secretary/Receptionist greets visitors to the department, answers incoming calls, and routes to appropriate administrative staff, and assists administrative staff as needed. Performs other secretarial/clerical duties as assigned.
**What you will do in this role:**
+ Tactfully handles difficult situations; all contacts are handled professionally and always with courtesy.
+ Consistently is attentive to detail, record-keeping and required paperwork inherent to the position.
+ Always strives to make the best use of time; seeks out work that needs to be completed; reports free time to supervisor; works on ongoing projects; assists others as needed.
+ Understands the organizational and political structure of the hospital; applies same in the screening of correspondence and calls to supervisor.
+ Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive material and information.
+ Daily reviews calendar for meetings scheduled and always keeps supervisor updated on meetings and appointments.
+ Establishes good rapport and cooperative working relationships with all personnel of the hospital.
+ Consistently coordinates work to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency.
+ Consistently performs duties with little or no supervision.
+ Always represents the hospital in a positive manner.
+ Answers and screens incoming calls in a timely manner and routes them to the appropriate staff.
+ Processes beverage order, supply order, daily mail, papers, filing
+ Makes travel arrangements for all hospital personnel
+ 15. Maintains grievances and complaint system
+ Maintains PLUS system.
**What qualifications you will need:**
+ Prior clerical/secretarial experience preferred
+ High School Graduate / GED
