Section Manager II
Description Summary: The Business Banking Operations - Section Mgr 2 manages through the daily activities for a functional area in addition to having direct reports. Acts as a liaison with other departments and/or divisions and collaborates with both credit and segment risk to meet or exceed department goals. Oversight is available but senior managers would expect a Section Manager 2 to recommend a course of action and be able to facilitate their recommendations. Duties and Responsibilities: + Ensures Business Banking production of business loans with established Production, SLA & Quality goals, which includes the assignment of work to functional area team members. + Prepares, maintains and/or monitors reports in compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements. + Act as primary back up for their manager as needed for team huddles & meetings. + Is positioned with knowledge and expertise to represent direct manager outside of function group as needed. + Instrumental in change management by not only identifying potential efficiencies but also be able to institution & manage necessary change within the functional working group once changes are approved. + Resolves the most complex working problems should a Team Lead or SM 1 not be able to assist. + Tasks as needed to support the line of business and job family. + Other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications: + High School Diploma + 3+years’ experience with business or commercial lending in a centralized lending environment Preferred Qualifications: + Associate or Bachelor Degree + 1-2 years leadership / management experience + Demonstrates confidence, assertiveness, professionalism, and ability to interact with all levels within the organization in a professional manner + Proficient use of Microsoft Office and other internet resources + Excellence in customer service, highly motivated, focused and goal oriented + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and demeanor + Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning and follow-up + Ability to work independently on multiple tasks without compromising quality.
