Sector Lead, Department of Health and Human Services
Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking an executive to join our Health and Social Services business unit and provide leadership to a $100M sector which delivers multi-disciplinary IT and consulting solutions to HHS clients. Specifically, the Sector Lead will be responsible for leading strategy and developing future opportunities within the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at our US headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia or our Baltimore, MD office, with the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement.

The Sector Lead will have full P&L responsibility and a focus to increase sales and revenue throughout the portfolio, while maintaining successful delivery and client satisfaction. We are seeking an individual with demonstrated performance leading accounts, capturing deals, and managing program resources for profitable organic growth.

This position is located in our Baltimore, MD or Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• P&L responsibilities for up to $100M+ book of business spanning over a dozen programs and projects.
• Collaborate with other program leaders to drive profitable growth through strategic planning, identification of target customers and initiatives, management and direction of bid and proposal (B&P) resources, and formulation and execution of capture and proposal strategies.
• Collaborates with counterparts across CGI Federal to ensure best of breed solutions are brought forward to customers and ensures CGI is appropriately positioned within the client base.
• Partner closely with the customer at the executive level to understand all IT objectives and goals are met.
• Shape the overall strategy and execution plans while providing management and delivery oversight to ensure desired milestones are achieved.
• Build these capabilities within the broader team:
o Provide leadership and direction to subordinate VPs and Directors.
o Manage performance and develop/mentor/coach to help team grow professionally and achieve desired goals and outcomes.
o Develop team’s capabilities and expertise in line with client needs/market evolution

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 15 years of business development and strategy experience within organizations known for building high performing business development functions.
• Demonstrated history of winning large, competitive consulting contracts at the intersection of Federal Health and IT.
• Experience managing a P&L of 100MM.
• Solid relationships with key government contracting personnel within various operating divisions of HHS.
• Ability to lead and guide large teams (~200 members) to achieve goals and objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build win-win partnerships within a firm/corporation, with a particular focus on understanding how to leverage technology differentiators.
• Demonstrated ability to identify emerging business trends resulting in strategy recommendations to senior management.
• Ability to constructively influence and interact at the highest levels of the company and in target customer agencies.
• Excellent communication skills and highly effective interpersonal skills are required as well as an ability to inspire confidence and provide business development leadership throughout the company.
• The successful candidate will have a high energy level and be motivated by working with bright, driven people in a values-based culture.
• Due to the nature of the government contract, US Citizenship is required

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $214,300- $396,500.
