We are looking for an IT System Quality Engineer (Senior) to join our growing team.

Must Haves:
1) 10+ years of Quality Assurance experience with significant understanding of SDLC, STLC and quality engineering best practices.
2) Excellent communications and client facing skills.
3) 5+ years in a Quality Engineering management role(s).
Nice to Have/Additional Comments: Supply Chain or Utility experience preferred.
We are seeking an experienced IT System Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance efforts across the project lifecycle. In this role, you will ensure that all information system products and services align with organizational standards, meet user requirements, and exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Engineering Leadership: Oversee quality assurance from project initiation to completion, ensuring the quality of requirements, defining project test strategies, test plans, and supervising the execution of testing activities to guarantee the delivery of high-value outcomes.
- Collaboration and Communication: Engage key stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to resolve complex technical challenges, communicating detailed technical information in clear, understandable terms.
- Change Management: Drive the adoption of quality engineering practices to uphold high standards throughout the development and implementation of IT solutions.
- Mentorship: Coach teams on adopting a quality-focused mindset, while managing risks effectively and facilitating improvements in quality assurance practices.
- Risk Facilitation: Lead the team through an initial risk identification session. Facilitate ongoing risk item maintenance and map quality risks to scope, schedule, and budget impacts.
Qualifications and Experience:
Technical Expertise:
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in information systems auditing or QA, preferably within electric utility systems.
Strong expertise in quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001 or CMMI.
Industry Knowledge (Preferred):
Experience with key utility business processes, including Meter-to-Cash, Generation-Transmission-Distribution, Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Advanced Distributed Management Systems (ADMS).
Experience with Digital Utility platforms, including mobility applications and customer self-service portals.
Familiarity with software quality methodologies in the energy sector, including SCAMPI or ISO 9001:2000 appraisals.
Certifications (preferred but not required):
ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps.
Project Experience:
Experience driving quality engineering across Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project lifecycles.
Clear understanding of the project delivery lifecycle and project management standards and processes for waterfall and agile methodologies.
Proven track record of leadership in large programs and projects, providing quality recommendations to senior leadership.

- Project Management: Experience in managing projects or assisting in project management; familiar with project management concepts and processes
- Test Management: Skilled in test strategy development, test planning, and execution oversight across multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Ability to mentor and guide peers in adhering to quality standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities (Expanded):
1. Leadership in Quality Assurance: Lead the design, development, and adherence to Software/System Quality Assurance (SQA) programs throughout the development and implementation of IT applications and systems. Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams and stakeholders.
2. Test Strategy Development: Lead risk assessments and define quality strategies, test strategies, and test plans across project lifecycles. Ensure testability analysis and test preparation/execution guidance for complex projects.
3. Collaboration and Alignment: Facilitate alignment and collaboration between business units and IT teams throughout all stages of projects, ensuring business requirements are met and risks are managed effectively.
4. Quality Metrics and Reporting: Develop and recommend quality and testing metrics, ensuring proper reporting and tracking of key quality indicators throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance quality assurance initiatives and apply industry best practices to improve software/system product quality.
6. Quality Assurance Oversight: Lead the evaluation and oversight of software/system quality assurance efforts, ensuring compliance with business standards or functional requirements. Manage defect tracking and resolution.
7. Process Auditing: Conduct audits of software/system quality assurance practices and support the resolution of non-compliance issues in a timely manner.
8. Quality Standards and Policy Advocacy: Lead the development and revision of quality and testing standards, ensuring that they evolve to meet the changing needs of the business.
9. Training and Knowledge Transfer: Coordinate training and knowledge sharing on quality assurance and testing best practices across the organization, enhancing team skills and capabilities.
10. Leadership and Guidance: As necessary, lead the testing team, monitor progress, and resolve issues that span beyond quality control efforts, ensuring the project stays on track.
