Job Description Summary:

Draper’s Secured and Assured Systems (S&AS) business area develops secure microelectronics for the most challenging national security applications requiring advanced security, extreme reliability, and peak performance in harsh and hostile environments for military and intelligence systems. We are seeking an Intern to assist the S&AS team in developing, executing and monitoring a comprehensive business strategy that responds to rapidly growing and evolving market demands for our products and solutions. This position will offer the candidate the opportunity to interface internally across various Business Areas, R&D Programs and Function’s counterparts (Contracts, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, Property, Security) as well as direct Customer interface with Government and Commercial Partners.

Duties/Responsibilities
• Assist with identification, monitoring and analyzing strategic market conditions and opportunities for S&AS solutions and products;
• Assist in the preparation and execution of client and industry partner engagements;
• Assist with the drafting and preparation of white papers, proposals and other opportunity-related materials;
• Provide assistance to a team, including, but not limited to, clerical duties, processing paperwork, customer service or performing data entry;
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s / master’s degree program.Must be a U.S. citizen

Skills/Abilities

Excellent written and oral communication skills.Excellent work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.Ability to adapt to ever-changing environments, risks, and vulnerabilities.Strong computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

There is flexibility regarding hours and program duration based on applicant’s school schedule and availability.

This position can be partially hybrid remote, however being in the office, when appropriate, is an important part of this experience.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in one of the following disciples: International Affairs, Engineering, Law, International Business, Business Management, or related fieldAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment with effective time management.Interest in applicable Government security and defense issues, technology policy, technology security, or microelectronics;This role is expected to be onsite three (3) days at our Reston, VA or Cambridge, MA facilities;Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
